Who We Be

Hey there. Welcome. Founded in October 2009, Brainer is an online magazine based in London. We’re about music and art, but really anything goes. If something has passion behind it, a desire to break with convention and a will to inspire with positivity, then hey, it has a home here.

Expect to find original, well thought out features, in-depth interviews, profiles, previews, extensive reviews and blogs and columns packing a witty, weighty punch. Actually a direct retort to the transient nature of the majority of today’s online blogs, our goal at Brainer is to provide content that is original, informative, and entertaining.

We’re a close collective of writers, artists, designers and photographers dedicated to covering the best that London, indeed the world, has to offer. It’s as simple as that. We won’t write about something for the sake of it, but because it’s something that intrigues us. Excites us. Inspires us. Most of all, we’re dedicated to our readers: people who are looking for something a little different. Something that isn’t a no-brainer (although sometimes no-brainers are a good thing).
