British street artist D*Face continues to make waves in the US, capturing the eye of mainstream media yet again with his latest commission for pop princess Christina Aguilera’s upcoming album “Bionic”. The news comes following D*faces’ infamous reworking of the iconic Oscar statue - which saw the notorious winged-one create 2 seven foot zombie-esque statues mimicking the prestigious Hollywood award.

I’m really diggin’ this collaboration, it’s great exposure for D*Face, whose work I have admired for the best part of a decade. I feel he absolutely murders it on this Aguilera piece. The surreal-like nature and intricate line workings of the mechanical objects echo that of an MC Esher print - this fused with the luscious vector-styled lips and the original photography make for a powerfully engaging, arresting image.
