PICTURES ON WALLS.
So last week we went over to the Rag Factory - just off Brick Lane - to check out our friend Delphine's exhibition of photographs, entitled Ashes57 - The Message. We'd never been to the Rag Factory before, but I can tell you it's a great little gallery space with oodles of natural light and a warm atmosphere. As expected, the photgraphy on show was top notch, featuring a host of well-known talent across a whole spectrum of music. I tell ya, an ample amount of time was gleefully spent picking out well-known faces from the frames.

Willie looking fantastic as ever.

Edan and Mr. Lif-without-dreads. Almost didn't recognise him.

The cakes were a really nice touch.

After a little rearranging.

The photographer herself enjoying a bit of a breather.

I think Ellie liked it.

This is Paddy (Lava Collective). He happened to have some of Ricky Powell's legendary pictures to hand, and was kind enough to give us a look.

The money shot: Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, New York City, 1984.

Oh, and just some rappers called Run DMC and the Beastie Boys on a bus in 1987.

All in all, a pretty awesome exhibition - Delphine sold a fair few pictures, too. For more on Ashes57 and the Lava Collective, head over HERE.
