MARTYN AND EROSIE BLOW HOXTON AWAY WITH HELP FROM FRIENDS

With all the ingredients you’d expect from an East London party but without any of the pretence
(just ridiculously good vibes all round), Martyn launched his new album ‘Ghost People’ in a basement in Hoxton last Thursday.

Tucked away well below ground and warmed up by Manny Z; knocked about to dBridge’s neck-breaking set
followed by Martyn’s exclusive live performance of a very special sounding album, we were treated to all manner of breaks, beats and bass-lines in a very intimate yet open space. Drenched in a coat of basement sweat and engulfed by Erosie’s paint job (whose head-spinning mural commissioned for the album cover was specially recreated), Kode9 played a vinyl-only garage set to end the night. Not bad for a mid-week rave!

Martyn’s new album ‘Ghost People’ is out October 10th on Brainfeeder and will be reviewed at a later date.
