So, I recently watched the film 127 Hours. 93 minutes and one hacked-off limb later (James Franco’s, not mine), I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. It had nothing to do with the gore and sawn-through sinew which was, admittedly, a tad grim. Nor was it to do with the film itself which didn’t lose steam considering the amount of attention building up to that moment.

And so it begins. Synapse to Cintax – my weekly column about the wonderful world of film in its many guises. My interests in this vein are broad and, while my constant obsession in life is to consume as many films as humanly possible (I call this ‘research’), unlike with Pokémon, there’s not a chance you can catch ’em all.
