Catch the Frite Nite and Earnest Endeavours producer in East London with Kutmah, Arp 101 and more
We’re pretty excited for tomorrow here at Brainer. Why? Because the man behind our last mix tape – the winsome B. Bravo – will be playing his first ever live London show at Basing House on Kingsland Road. Courtesy of the homies at Earnest Endeavours and in association with Obey, Sketchbook and the Hit+Run crew, Adam will be joined by Eglo’s Arp 101, Kutmah and more for a night of good music and good vibes. All the info is in the flyer above, or you can head over to the event page on Facebook
Adam Mori, aka B. Bravo, first caught our ears back in September just before he released his first EP for London’s Earnest Endeavours label. Titled Kiss ‘n’ Tell, the 5-track record won Brainer over with its g-funk stylings and electronic swagger. So much so in fact, that we asked the San Francisco native to put together the third instalment of our Brainer Mix Series. We caught up with Mori to talk music, funk and California. Emerging in 2010, London label Earnest Endeavours has been on the block for about a year now, and the crew has primarily been amping up the city’s cultural offerings with a series of events featuring heavyweight musicians and artists. From jetting to Spain to rock Barcelona stupid with LuckyMe and Desparrame, to hosting a night of mouthwatering street food and beats with Dante Fried Chicken, the chaps have certainly made their mark.
